BASKET FILTER-STRAINER

Basket filters and strainers are designed by precision such that it can meet the specific requirements of removing foreign particles in the flowing fluid or services. Basket filters and strainers have flawless functionality standards which help in increasing the overall life of the pumps, valves and other flow control equipments. It permits the straining and filtering of a wide variety of fluids no matter whether size of solids. Basket Filters are supported with perforated cage plus positive sealing arrangement to avoid any bypass any chance of end connections. All baskets can be easily removed & cleanable. BASKET FILTER OPERATION

Unfiltered liquid enters the filter housing and passes down through them. Solids are retained inside OR outside of basket filter depending upon design and are removed when the unit is serviced. Basket filters are available with insitu backwashing arrangement, wherein removal of basket for cleaning is not required often.

These type filter housings are normally supplied with spring arrangement at the top of filter media OR filter elements. This will ensure any type of bypassing and confirm the position of basket, even in case of reverse flow. Fluid bypass around the basket is prevented by an optional O'-Ring seal between the basket rim and the housing inside diameter.

DUPLEX TYPE BASKET FILTER AND STRAINERS

Duplex filter housing permits continuous operation because flow can be switched back and forth between two filtration sections. This allows one side to be serviced while the other is in use. Normally this filters are separated with 3-Way ball valves or 2-Way ball valve OR butterfly valve connected with equalization "T", between 2 baskets filter housings.
